2012 Wedding Trends!

As wedding season is well on its way, we’re noticing some trends for our brides-to-be! We will talk about some top colors that Pantone (the color experts) have chosen for this season, some beautiful dresses by some of our favorite designers, a fun, new bridal bouquet idea that will make your jaws drop, and dessert bars that are all the rave! Stay tuned, as we will soon feature some of our amazing candy buffet creations as inspiration for your own event.

Pantone 2012 Color Trends As you can see above, Pantone picked some fabulous colors this year, going all the way from bold Tangerine Tango to a feminine Sweet Lilac. Take it from us, these are the most color-trendy designers to listen to. If you were hoping to make your guests eyes pop, we would definitely suggest going with a pair of Cabaret and Solar Power, or if you were looking for something softer, maybe a marriage of Cockatoo and Driftwood would be best for your big day! Our favorite combination is Sodalite Blue, Cabaret, and maybe some Bellflower mixed in a bit! What’s your favorite combination? JEWELED BOUQUETS

Our favorite trend that’s becoming a part of every wedding this year is a jeweled bridal bouquet. Whether it be Swarovski crystal handles, rhinestone flowers and brooches mixed in with real flowers, or an entire bouquet made out of jeweled flower replicas, it’s all the rave. Nothing makes a bolder statement than this new beautiful idea.

The Elegant Oheka Castle Showcase 2012

Oheka Bridal Showcase

Not too long ago, we had the opportunity to be a part of Oheka Castle’s Bridal Showcase, yet again.

First off, we would like to say a huge congratulations and many happy wishes to all of the brides-to-be and grooms-to-be we met at this amazing showcase. What a great place to go to when preparing for your big day. Second of all, can we say WOW?! Yet another wonderful show held by the beautiful Oheka Castle. Each year this show keeps topping itself from the previous year and we adore it. Who wouldn’t want their wedding at this magnificent property?

After setting up our table and before the event began, we took a quick walk around the mansion to see the beautiful century old estate and all the other vendors that were chosen to take part. Not only was your favorite NY wedding planner there, but some of our favorite companies to work with joined, as well as some new vendors showcasing their wares. Oheka is the pinnacle of wedding venues in the New York area, so we always love to be a part of this incredible event.
